El ex gobernador de Quintana Roo, Roberto Borge, rechazó ser extraditado a México, al comparecer en audiencia ante el Tribunal Superior de Apelaciones de Panamá, país en el que fue detenido este domingo.

El mensaje, destacó que la AIC, la Secretaría de Hacienda y la Fiscalía General del Estado de Quintana Roo y la participación de la Fiscal General de Panamá, fueron indispensables para dar con el paradero del exfuncionario prófugo hasta ayer.

Afirmó que no le han tomado declaración a Roberto Borge Angulo, por el procedimiento legal en Panamá, pero "se está tramitando la parte de extradición, se solicitó en las primeras horas de la mañana".

El actual gobernador de Quintana Roo, Carlos Joaquín, dijo el sábado que las órdenes de captura contra Borge es resultado de ocho meses de trabajo con la autoridad judicial federal "denunciando y aportando pruebas".

La orden de aprehensión también hacía referencia a la adquisición de una empresa de embarcaciones turísticas en la Riviera Maya; ambos delitos serían producto del lavado de dinero.

Borge fue detenido gracias a labores de elementos de la Agencia de Investigación Criminal, adscritos a la Interpol México en coordinación con agentes de la Interpol Panamá.
