Labour leader tells his MPs they could soon be in government.

Jeremy Corbyn was pictured joining a children's football training session in Islington as one of his MPs said Labour missed an "open goal" to beat Theresa May and the Tories in the General Election.

"Just quickly, the consistency-is it strong and stable or weak and wobbly?" the Sky News anchor asked while Goodwin spat out the pages.

"Theresa May has no mandate and no legitimacy for policies that do not have the support of the majority of the British people. We are now a government in waiting and we must think and act at all times with that in mind".

The source added that some of Mr Corbyn's critics in Parliament were "gracious enough to point out that they hadn't always had confidence in his leadership but they did now and that they had underestimated him".
