Facebook's co-founder and CEO Mark Zuckerberg got his diploma Thursday from Harvard University 13 years after he dropped out to pursue his project of what today has become the world's leading social media network.
"To keep our society moving forward, we have a generational challenge - to not only create new jobs, but create a renewed sense of goal", he said.
"The challenge for our generation is to create a world where everyone has a objective ..." The 33-year-old billionaire also talked about various things including how he first met his wife Priscilla Chan. "If I had to know everything about connecting people before I got started, I never would have built Facebook". "Anyone working on a big vision is going to get called insane, even if you end up right", Zuckerberg said.
But it was late in his speech where Zuckerberg seemed to really lose it. Today, however, automation and technology "steal" a lot of work.
Zuckerberg said that on his tour around the states, he met opioid addicts and others who had fallen on hard times with factory closings, who said they might not have suffered if they had something to do.
Meanwhile, Zuckerberg had last week shared the throwback video that was captured about 15 years ago at Harvard. Stress felt by many American communities will increase as tens of millions of jobs are replaced by automation, such as self-driving cars and trucks, Zuckerberg said.

He said in a post that he will "share what [he's] learned about our generation and the world we're all building together" in his commencement speech.
According to The Star, Mark Zuckerberg received his honorary doctorate degree from Harvard. When he asked the student what he wanted as a gift, Zuckerberg said the boy answered by talking about the struggles his peers faced, and ended up asking for a book on social justice.
