It says that the governments of the world should treat the WannaCry attack as "a wake-up call", to consider the "damage to civilians that comes from hoarding these vulnerabilities and the use of these exploits," and to adopt the "Digital Geneva Convention" the company first suggested in February.

Officials at the Ministry of Defence played down fears that its four Trident-missile carrying submarines, which use the same software which left the NHS exposed, were vulnerable to attack. "The latest count is over 200,000 victims in 150 countries and many of those will be businesses, including large corporations", said Rob Wainwright, the head of European Union police agency Europol.
In its latest update, the NCSC warned that although there has not been new attacks, there still could be machines and networks that have already been compromised but have yet to be detected.
French carmaker Renault was forced to stop production at sites in France, Slovenia and Romania, while FedEx said it was "implementing remediation steps as quickly as possible".
Wainwright described the cyberattack as an "escalating threat".
As NHS organisations start a new work week, it appears the attack is far from over, with the previously unaffected Shrewsbury and Telford Hospital NHS Trust added to the list of victims.
The latest malware, called WannaCrypt or WannaCry, is spread by taking advantage of a Windows vulnerability that Microsoftreleased a security patch for in March.
Capitalising on spying tools believed to have been developed by the U.S. National Security Agency, the virus dubbed WannaCry has blocked more than 200,000 computers across the globe, demanding a ransom to unlock them.
Security experts advised victims not to cough up the ransom, and Mr Op Gen Oorth said that, so far, relatively few had.
