Baez accused Massachusetts' chief medical examiner of "illegally" holding the brain of the ex-NFL star, who was found Wednesday hanged in his prison cell. Hernandez was acquitted of those crimes on Friday, but hanged himself in his prison early Wednesday, April 19, 2017, where he was serving a life sentence in the 2013 killing of semi-professional football player Odin Lloyd.

John Thompson said Friday he'll file the necessary paperwork in Bristol County. That's the MA jurisdiction where Hernandez was tried and convicted in the 2013 slaying of Lloyd.

Hernandez was serving a life sentence for murder and just last week was acquitted in two other killings before he hanged himself with a bed sheet attached to his cell window at the Souza Baranowski Correctional Center in Shirley, Massachusetts.

Turkey referendum: Protests continue in Turkish cities
An unofficial tally carried by the country's state-run news agency gave President Recep Tayyip Erdogan's "yes" camp a narrow win. The PKK, the YPG's parent organization, has been listed as a terrorist organization by Turkey, the US and the EU.

According to TMZ Sports, Jenkins-Hernandez filed court documents to prevent any evidence from being destroyed.

Thompson didn't say when he'll file the request. A New Bedford judge was due to hear the request Friday afternoon.

The official statement from District Attorney Joseph D. Early, Jr.'s office also revealed information about the state of the cell.

The Switch Is Nintendo's 'Fastest Selling' System in History
Meanwhile, both Sony and Microsoft came in second and third respectively, with the PS4 beating the Xbox One. The Switch is also Nintendo's fastest selling console to date, surpassing all previous records.

Days before his death, Hernandez was found not guilty in the 2012 shooting deaths of Safiro Furtado and Daniel de Abreu.

All first-degree murder convictions in MA trigger an automatic appeal.
